A hard drive is a non-volatile hardware component on a computer that is nothing but a storage device. It holds program files, documents, pictures, videos, music, and more. Hard drives are of four different types.
- Parallel Advanced Technology Attachment (PATA)- It is based on parallel signaling technology .
- Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA)- It is based on serial signaling technology.
- Small Computer System Interface (SCSI)- It uses a small computer system interface.
- Solid State Drive (SSD)- They use integrated chips.
