Srisailam
Srisailam's name derives in part from the profusion of sacred bilva' (Sri) trees in the area and in part from the Sri Chakra form of the plateau on which the sanctuary is located. At this temple, Adi Shankara is reputed to have written his famous hymn "Shivananda Lahari."
Lingaraja Temple
It is surrounded by a roomy laterite compound wall that measures 520 feet by 465 feet in size. The wall is 7 feet 6 inches thick and has a straightforward slant coping on top of it.
Parsurameswar Temple
One of the oldest temples in Odisha, Parsurameswar is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple, which dates back to around 650, comprises all the essential components of pre-10th-century Odishan architecture. It is the only early period temple that still has a Jagamohana.
Baijnath Temple,Kangra
Ravana is said to have worshipped Lord Shiva on the Kailash during the Treta Yug to get invulnerable abilities. He gave his 10 heads in the havan kund during the same rite to appease the All-Powerful. His heads were repaired, and the Lord Shiva gave him immortality and invincibility.
