Balasaheb Thackeray was an Indian politician who founded the Shiv Sena a Marathi and Hindu nationalist party mainly active in the state of Maharashtra. He was born on 23 January 1926 Pune Maharashtra India, Balasaheb Thackeray was also the founder of the Marathi-language newspaper Saamana. In 1960 and early 1970 he founded the Shiv Sena by forming temporary alliances with nearly all of state political parties. He died in 17 November 2012.
