Now recent news tells that an FIR has been filed against him.
The matter related to the death of Sunanda Pushkar, on which Congress MP Shashi Tharoor has filed a petition in High Court. In the petition, Shashi Tharoor has accused Republic TV, Arnab Goswami, and one more journalist of stealing some reports and reporting them on their channel. This happened when the investigation on the Sunanda Pushkar suicide case is still going on.
The court finds the accusation genuine and hence, has ordered that an FIR must be filed against him and the investigation be done on the matter.
According to the court, the case is sub judice and hence the leak of confidential documents related to it can disrupt its investigation. The court also said that the inquiry must be done to find out how did the culprits got hold of these documents and reports. The court order has stirred tense air among journalists.
