The Navratri festival is a nine-day Hindu celebration where the focus is on the Mother Goddess. During this time, devotees worship Goddess Durga, who is believed to be a symbol of power and she is worshipped in different forms over the nine days.
During these nine days, people pray for bolstering in all aspects of life such as wisdom, health and happiness. Apart from fasting, people also perform rituals like chanting mantras and singing bhajans.
