In 2001 when US and its allies entered Afghanistan, it was greeted warmly by the Afghan government. They saw US as their savior from Taliban. Hamid Karzai the former Afghan president who was installed as President of Afghanistan, remembers the welcome received by US and NATO allies in Afghanistan in 2001.

In a recent interview he said 'In the initial years the thing worked perfectly well. Then we saw the United States either changed their course of action or simply neglected the conditions of Afghan people'. He blames the United States for continuing of war and their incompetence in eliminate Pakistan's asylum to Talban and US bombing of Afghan villages and detaining of Afghans in raids.

According to a day labourer, Hajji Akram in Kabul , even after 17 years of US intervention, Afghanistan remains one of the poorest, least educated and most corrupted nation. Even the rulers of Afghan are corrupt only. As they took the aids given for the poor people and the development of Afghan leaving Afghanistan remains as worst as it was before Taliban. People blame US for the notorious government and installation of Hamid Karzai for the failure of Afghanistan.

Mohammed Ismail Qasimyar, a member of Afghanistan's High Peace Council questions how US and NATO forces with 150, 000 troops along with Afghan forces unable to defeat small number of Taliban force. Taliban is as powerful as ever. And US could not do anything to stop.

US spent more than $900 billion on Afghanistan and lost 2400 soldiers in the longest war in its history. But after 17 years Taliban took half the country again and the security is as worst as before and development is nil.

That is why many Afghans blame US for unending war. Afghanistan is spreading conspiracy theory regarding the purpose of US forces in Afghan. Mohammed Ismail Qasimyar now suspects that US and Pakistan deliberately make chaos in Afghanistan in order to be there forever. By their presence in Afghanistan US can monitor China, Russia and Iran. Many Afghans suspect that from the start US' Agenda was not to end war.
