Are the probes waterproof for use with coupling gel or in water baths?

Most ultrasound probes are water-resistant, not fully waterproof. They are safe to use with conductive coupling gel and for indirect water-bath techniques when properly sealed. However, the probe cable and device body should never be submerged unless explicitly stated by the manufacturer.
