Apart from the usual factors like sunlight, carbon dioxide, soil and water, some plants also need extra fertilizers to help them grow faster and better. Fertilizers may be natural, but can also be man-made. Natural fertilizers are better because they help your plants grow naturally, without any chemicals of any sort, however, sometimes you have to use man-made fertilizers as well. The list of organic fertilizers are as follows
- Organic Fertilizers
- Manure made out of cow dung
- Compost
- Leaf mold
- Vermi-compost (Compost made out of organic waste from earthworms)
Now, here is the list of chemical fertilizers which can also be used to grow you plants:
- Nitrates (Also known as the leaf makers) - Ammonium sulfate, Ammonium chloride, Calcium-ammonium nitrate, etc.
- Phosphates (Also known as the root makers of the plant) - Single Super phosphate, Basic slag, Rock phosphate
- Potash (Also known as the fruit makers of the plant) - Muriate of Potash (60%) and Sulfate of Potash (50%)
- Mixed fertilizers - Nitrophosphate, Mono Ammonium phosphate, Diammonium phosphate, etc.
Hope this answers your question.
