None of the regional opposition parties such as Mizo National Front, Mizoram People’s Conference, and Zoram Nationalist Party was unable to convert even 50% of the total 40 seats in previous state assembly election, only Mizo National Front has somehow was able to emerge as the largest opposition party by 5 seats with Mizoram People\'s Conference bagged 1 seat. This gave a new pitch to BJP in this region for their first vote approach.
Mizoram being the Christian state and BJP focusing on Hindutva gave a plus point to Congress for the win, but its government establishment recently in Sikkim, Meghalaya, and Assam will give a huge influence to Mizoram voters. BJP strategize to combine small smart alliances together and loud the failure in development of basic infrastructure and high unemployment rate being Mizoram holding the third ranking in literacy rate under Congress leadership. BJP government is the promising establishment of the engineering college, construction of a four-lane highway across the state, linking both Myanmar and Bangladesh, It also chanting slogan for Congress is the most corrupt party all this election campaign gives a high chance of dent in Congress citadel. However, the result of the election will finally declare the parties actual positioning.
