Yes, if the situation will continue to be like this only then, they should extend the lockdown until everything would become fine. Once the lockdown is over, this virus would spread in everyone. That's why right now the right step is lockdown and more testings.

Yes, i think it will be extended because day by day the number of corona cases are increasing. So may be government will extend the lockdown.
