YES, the education system in India needs some really serious reforms. The education system currently prevailing in India, the competitive rat race haul is all about one person knowing every bookish knowledge while fine arts is a considered a hobby or just a tryout of a failed person. The current education system in India majorly focuses on cramming and mugging up things. Mugging up things only increases our vocabulary and never knowledge. Why students sit and cram their answers, and why can’t they write them on their own? Why students don’t they remember things taught in class? Simply because visuals and practical are rarely involved in studies. Education is not about words and books but experiments and experience. It’s the understanding to use a concept when required i.e. giving them practical knowledge. Education should be made more practical and more emphasis be given to IQ, skills rather than marks scored in exams. We need to realize that interest of every student is different and thus not judge students just on the basis of academics. Students need to be exposed to various fields and opportunities letting them select the best option for them. Parents, teachers and society should collectively respect and encourage decision taken by every student. We wonder why our country is not growing like others but never ponder over the differences in the respective education system. Our country’s development depends on the young generation and education has an influential impact on students. So the Education system should be reformed in order to give equal opportunity to each of them.Image source -youtnincmag.com
