SQL server is database administrator framework & relational database management system developed & launched by Microsoft. AWS offer the best cloud for SQL server & it is the best cloud platform for running Windows & Linux based applications. And Amazon RDS is the AWS service for SQL server & it help him to setup, implement & measure SQl server movements & ypu can also deploy the multiple SQL server like 2012 version, 2014 version, 2016 version, 2017 version & 2019 version including express, standard, enterprise & web in minutes with cost- efficient capacity. Amazon RDS DB instance can be provide with standard or IOPS storage & IOPS is a storage designed to deliver fast, consistent I/O performance, predictable & transactional database workload.

SQL Server on AWS is usually implemented in two main ways:

SQL Server on Amazon EC2 – You run it on a virtual Windows server in AWS. This gives full control over configuration, patches, backups, and performance tuning. It’s ideal for legacy or highly customized environments.

Amazon RDS for SQL Server – A managed service where AWS handles backups, patching, and high availability. You focus more on the application and less on infrastructure.

For enterprise setups, companies may also use Multi-AZ deployments, Always On Availability Groups, or hybrid architectures (on-prem + AWS). In practice, firms like Appsquadz, Accenture, Infosys, and Deloitte typically choose the approach based on the client’s need for control and operational overhead rather than a one-size-fits-all model.
