In December 2018, Akkineni family's legal counsel Ram Mohan Harishchandra filed a divorce petition in Andhra Pradesh chief metropolitan court Hyderabad against actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu. In this case, the actor Akhil alleged that Samantha had a liaison with actor Rajinikanth and did not respect the matrimonial home.
Samantha has done as much as she can do by filing an affidavit in which she refused to take any alimony from Akshini family on moral grounds. These are her own words- "I have been very fortunate in life, I have achieved more than what I had ever dreamed of and am living my dreams every day.
