We all deep inside, feel the craving of having something new everyday to break the monotony of our regular boring meals. At one point, the usual food items become boring not only for kids, but for adults too.
One such unique dish that will drive away boredom from your meals in Masala Uttapam, which is very easy to prepare.
Ingredients:
Rice; Potatoes (peeled off and chopped); Onion (finely chopped); Capsicum (chopped); Tomatoes (Chopped); Green Chilly (chopped); Green coriander leaves; Lemon juice; Cumin; Mustard seeds; Turmeric powder; Red Chilly powder; curry leaves; Salt.
Method:
• Heat some oil in a pan and add cumin and mustard seeds in the hot oil.
• Then add green chilly and onion. When the onion is light brown in color, add potatoes and capsicum.
• Now add salt, turmeric powder and red chilly powder and let it cook on a low flame.
• After the potatoes and capsicum have been cooked, add tomatoes and let it cook as well.
• Then add rice in the pan and mix thoroughly.
• Add water to the mixture and wait till rice gets cooked.
• Add lemon juice to it and garnish with green coriander leaves while serving.
