How do industries pollute the environment?

Industries have helped a lot in development but inturn it has caused a lot of pollution to the environment. Industries mainly causes air pollution and water pollution. The gas liberated out from the industries which causes air pollution. The chemical gases liberated it decreases the quality of the air. The other is water pollution. The industrial effluent causes water pollution. The waste from industries are dumped into the rivers, ponds which makes the water toxic.
