From the chilly cold Himalayas to the breezy and extremely exquisite Kanyakumari, India is infused with hundreds of years old culture which surprisingly hasn’t whittled down with time and it’s influence has been ubiquitous. India is one of the few countries which has been showered with such rich culture that people from all across the globe visit to explore but who end up not just travelling but carrying back an essence of it with them, such is our culture.India’s culture has many aspects attached to it as it has branches everywhere from the various forms of dance , to the traditional clothing , the innumerable number of spices and herbs, the architecture, the wide range of languages and eventually, the literature that stems from them . Also to the revolutionary inventions, the various festivals, the birth of religions with the heavy mythology and the origin of yoga,Ayurveda .But,India’s culture isn’t just restricted to this, but it is also propagates a set of values and code of conduct like the origin of the word Namastey can be traced back to India, the phrase ‘Atitthi Devo Bhava’ ,the idea of joint families, arranged marriages and ofcourse the renowned Chanakya Niti which proves it’s more of a lifestyle which distinguishes it from the western culture. The culture in other countries has been mainly enveloped by and restricted to the artistic, philopshic, literary and legal themes and propagates a very open mindset which was set in the post Renaissance period. But this vastness is a curse and blessing for India as it has also gave birth to problems of caste which brought along provisions for reservations, the religions gave way to riots, the languages not getting enough recognition and the medieval ideas and mindsets posing questions of social issues of equality etc which are more in India due to it’s culture as compared to the western countries. But this culture runs in our blood and is much lauded worldwide and Indians have an intend to keep it’s sanctity intact and celebrate it like other countries do.
