In 2015 Delhi elections, Aam Admi Party got 67 seats out of 70, and Arvind Kejriwal became the Chief Minister of the capital on 14th February that year.

So naturally, it is the right time to have a look at the report card of the party after four years of its functioning.
If we go on the claims made by Aam Admi Party on social media and elsewhere, it has boasted of bringing more development to Delhi in four years than ever was brought in 60 years. Even I wonder if Delhi has really changed and developed enough to credit AAP with whatever it claims.
Welfare Schemes: It’s true that AAP has launched many welfare schemes throughout its tenure. Mohalla Clinic, availability of clean drinking water, inexpensive electricity, and good education, are some of the efforts that are made by AAP and for which it gained its due praise as well.
Operations: Government departments have also become efficient in functioning. The overall operations of the administration have smoothened in these four years.
Apart from these achievements, however, there are many other things where the current state government of Delhi has failed. The very first and obvious failure is on the control of pollution in Delhi.
For the policies that AAP promised to bring and could not, it blames Delhi’s status as a Union Territory, not a state.
Overall, I think Kejriwal’s rule has benefitted Delhi and its development in these four years.
