How will Budget 2019 affect the common man?

This year’s budget has come as good news for the middle-class income taxpayers. With the policies like tax rebate and an increase in the standard deduction, which are already being celebrated on Twitter, FM Piyush Goyal announced many things today which left the common man happy and sort of relieved.

Be it the upcoming General Elections or the genuine concern of Modi Government, the Budget has turned out to be in favor of the masses. From inexpensive houses to the relief to the farmers, there are many eye-catching promises in the Budget 2019.

Here are some highlights from Budget 2019 which may affect the common man directly or indirectly.

• There are the recommendations into GST council for reducing GST rates for home buyers.

• There is a full tax rebate up to 5 lakh annual income after all deductions.

• State share has increased to 42%

• 2 lakh seats will increase for the reservation of 10%

• 60,000 crores have been sanctioned for Manrega.

• 1.7 lakh crore is for the food assurances for all.

• There is the proposal of 22 AIIMS to be opened in Haryana.

• PM Kisan Yojana has been approved.

• Minimum support of Rs. 6000 to all the farmers having 2 hectares of land.

• Rs. 750 crores for National Gokul Mission.

• Bonus for the workers earning 21,000 per month.

• Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Mandhan to provide monthly pension to the workers above 60 years, of Rs. 3,000 with the contribution of Rs. 100 per month for workers in the unorganized sector.

• 26 weeks of maternity leaves for women.

• More than 3 lakh crores for defense.

• One lakh digital villages are promised in the next five years.
