Honestly, it was quite expected that India would win the series against New Zealand. The Indian players had been in tremendous form since the Australia series, one stepping up when the other is failing. And that’s a recipe of an unstoppable team.

The 3rd ODI India vs NZ is over. India clinched a thrilling victory by seven wickets, with 42 balls still remaining. Virtually everyone in the top order smashed. Bowlers played just as great. Hardik Pandya made a comeback after the ‘Koffee With Karan’ controversy, taking two wickets. Bhuvi and Shami continued to dismantle the batsmen, taking two and three wickets respectively.
Now all eyes are on whether or not India will win the series against New Zealand with a clean-wash 5-0 victory. I hope it happens. Not only is the team playing wonderful—New Zealand’s consistently poor performance is helping its case equally.

Talking about ICC World Cup 2019, that’s a whole different beast. It will be played in England and Wales, which is going to be difficult for all the Asian countries in particular. Team’s past performances would have very least impact on its bid to win the big trophy.
So, leave the result of 3rd ODI India vs NZ, and the whole series, to itself. Every team will start afresh in ICC World Cup 2019. How they have played in the past matches wouldn’t matter much to the players and management of respective teams.
