Can you imagine our life without Google? Seriously , the day may come when we will search our birthday in Google instead of listening to our mom. Google can process millions of pages in a second.


 In September 4, 1998, 2 Ph.D. Larry Page and Sergey Brin, students from Stanford University  founded Google.


1. Do you the original name of Google was Backrub? Yes the founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin named it Backrub only. The name Google is derived from Googol, the name of a mathematical number for  1 followed by 100 zeros. Actually it was misspelled as Google.


2. In 2006 Google is added as a verb in Oxford English Dictionary.


3. In the initial days Google was able to analyze only 30-40 paged per second. But now it is millions of pages per second.


4. 99% of Google's profit is coming from its advertisement.


5. As part of the company's green initiative, Google rents goats to mow on lawns instead of lawnmowers at their headquarters. According to the employees, they feel calm and tranquility to see the mowing goats .


6. Did you know new employees of Google are called Nooglers? Currently around 48,000 googlers are working for Google.


7. 88 languages can be used in Google home page. Largest translator's network is owned by Google.


8. The first Google Doodle was burning man stick. When the founders were out of the company to attend the burning man stick festival in Nevada, they informed in their homepage through the Google doodle that they were out of office and couldn't fix issues like server crash. 


9. In 1999, Larry Page and Sergey Brin wanted to sell Google to online company named Exite for $1million, but Exite refused the offer. Google is now worth $400 billion.


10. Do you know that Stanford University still holds the patent right of some of the Google algorithms? Yes it is.
