Disposable products are low-cost and often do not require any cleaning, but they come with many disadvantages and risks. Plastic products, such as utensils, straws, and cups are made from petroleum-based plastics that take hundreds of years to decompose in a landfill. It's for these reasons that some people choose to use disposable products instead.
Disposable products do not generate any waste after they've been used with the exception of the boxes they came in which are usually made from recycled materials or cardboard.
