India has 37 unadulterated dairy cattle breeds. Five of these — Sahiwal, Gir, Red Sindhi, Tharparkar and Rathi — are known for their draining ability. A couple of others, for example, Kankrej, Ongole and Hariana, have a place with double breeds that have both milch and draft characteristics; ie, they are great furrow creatures.
