What are the disadvantage of social media for children?

Children are having more negative effect of this invasion as they are getting addicted to these sites and spoiling their physical and mental health.They are seeing offensive videos and images,interacting with strangers,loosing out on social life ,falling prey to cyber crimes.

The basic and the most common disadvantage of Social media is that it creates addiction very fast. It can even weaken their eyesight as well as can damage their mental health. Social media platforms create a type of obsession among youngsters to be updated all the time, post pictures, stories, etc. which is definitely a negative effect. Once they get addicted, they start getting disconnected from their family members, relatives and friends. They build a wall of social media near themselves.
