What are the upcoming SUVs that can take on Jeep Compass?

The grand success of Jeep Compass in the Indian market has made a lot of manufacturers to launch their products in the same segment. The SUV segment in India is already populated by the Mahindra XUV 500, Tata Hexa, Jeep Compass and the Hyundai Tucson. However, in the near future, you can see stiff competition among different manufactures. Below are five new SUVs that will soon launch in India to take on the Jeep Compass:

1. Honda HR-V

Expected Launch Date: Mid 2019

This beast will be powered by the 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine that produces 115 Bhp. The diesel unit will the same 1.5-litre i-DTEC or 1.6-litre diesel unit.

2. Maruti Vitara

Expected Launch Date: 2019

The Vitara is expected to be powered by a 1.4-litre Boosterjet turbocharged petrol engine that churns out a maximum power of 140 Bhp and peak torque of 230 Nm.

3. Kia SP

Expected Launch Date: Mid 2019

Kia is another international manufacturer that will make its Indian debut soon. Their first car will be an SUV that will be based on the Kia SP Concept that they showcased in India at the 2018 Auto Expo.

4. Skoda Karoq

Expected Launch Date: Mid 2018

The Karoq is expected to be powered by a 2.0 litre turbo diesel engine. The petrol engine is expected to be a 1.5 litre turbo charged unit.

5. MG Motors ZS

Expected Launch Date: Mid 2019

MG will be soon seen into the Indian market with the launch of their ZS SUV. The SUV is likely to be powered by 2.0 litre diesel engine.
