Earlier it was assumed that this condition may be because of psychological disturbances but recently it was discovered that in fact it is one of the causes of anxiety, depression etc. Some other causes of secondary hyperhidrosis are spinal cord injury, alcohol addiction, diabetes, heart disease etc.
