Guruji, also known as Nirmal Singh, was revered as the modern manifestation of Lord Shiva by his followers. He was born on July 7, 1952, in the village of Dugri, Punjab. Notably, Guruji garnered a substantial following, including celebrities like Jacqueline Fernandez, Hema Malini, and members of the Kapoor family in Bollywood. In 1975, Guruji left his home, and by the age of eight, he exhibited remarkable mastery over his desires.
Over the years, Guruji resided in various places such as Chandigarh, Panchkula, Delhi, and Mumbai, eventually finding his permanent abode in a residence in Jalandhar. During the 1990s, he established the Shiv Mandir in the Bhatti Mines area in Chattarpur, lovingly referred to by his devotees as the Bada Mandir, which now serves as his final resting place. Many believe that the tea and langar prasad offered at Guruji’s satsang are imbued with his special divine blessings.
Guruji, also recognized as Dugri Wale Guruji or Shukrana Guruji, possessed extraordinary healing abilities and is credited with curing thousands afflicted with various ailments.
