According to the National Health Commission (NHC) of China, it is not so severe and is actually a low pathogenic virus. It is a strain of virus found in poultry farms and the scale of spreading is not very high. Also, NHC said that the H10N3 virus is of Avian origin. On Tuesday i.e the On 28th of April the first human case infected with the H10N3 virus was found in China. He was a 41-year-old man from Zhenjiang. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention H10N3 is an avian flu and is found in wild aquatic birds. It infects domestic poultry, birds and several animals. They usually don’t infect human beings but according to t,o CDC’s statement it may happen. Experts said that we don’t need to worry much as it is not as severe as Covid-19. Also, on a positive note it is not transmitted from person to person. After the man in China was infected with avian flu no other cases have been reported till now. The source of the virus in the infected person is unknown till now but experts are working on it. Generally, it spreads from saliva, mucus or faeces and if a person’s eye, nose or mouth come in contact with it then there is a chance to get infected but that’s a rare case. The person who got infected is now stable and out of danger and he has also been discharged from the hospital.
