Cognitive is also described as intellectual of mental development. It implies the development of those basic skills which us to know the environment. Elements which are essential for the awareness of environment are the five senses i.e. touch, taste, smell, hearing and sight. With the help of these five senses a child learns about the milieu around him and make his own observation , theory , memory and classification. Through the enhancement of cognitive skills one also widens its scope for improved language , memory , reasoning, imagination and intelligence

1) Heredity: Cognitive development is greatly affected by the interaction of inherited intelligence.
2) Physical Growth: A healthy person is likely to have better skill set compared to an unhealthy person.
3) Family Environment : The family milieu is also very responsible for the development of an individual’s performance
See, cognition is basically the development of one’s mental health and its’ ability. Besides these mentioned factors there are several others which can be included. But it has been recorded that no matter how difficult the scenario be people have outshone themselves better than the others irrespective of their short comings, whether it be their heredity , family issues and socio-economic status problems.
