You might be feeling some nausea, vomiting, or both a few days to a month after surgery. This happens because of changes in your sense of smell and taste that come with anesthesia use, as well as post-operative nausea and vomiting (PONV). It is also possible that you are experiencing early signs of brain tumor recurrence. If so, it's important to tell your neurosurgeon right away so they can do further evaluation.

So what can you do? There are steps you can take to minimize these symptoms:
Don't smoke - Smoking increases the risk for PONV by 60% You will also be cleaning out your lungs at the same time.
