A bio medical waste collection bag is a container that is intended for in-house use, either at the front desk of a hospital or clinic, or by an individual collector. They are used when there has been bodily fluid contamination that must be placed into a sealed bag for proper disposal. It can also be used when hazardous materials such as blood, urine, and/or fecal material have been soiled with sweat or other organic matter from an individual who has communicable diseases (such as the flu). The medical professional who owns the waste should wrap their hand in plastic before collecting these bags from patients.
