Consumer goods are the goods that are ready to use.They are the final goods.For example a motor bike or a microwave is a final good which can be used by the consumers.Consumer goods are categorised into three parts vi3 Durable Goods,Non Durable Goods & Service.
Durable goods have a long life span say four years or more.For example furnitures,automobiles,household appliances etc.
Non durable goods have a limited life span & they are purchased for immediate use.Example like beverages,foods,clothings,shoes etc.
The intangible products such as haircuts,auto repairs etc are consumer services because they are produced typically & consumed simultaneously by consumers.
