I came across ISO 22301 while reading about risk management. It’s basically a global standard for business continuity management. In simple terms, it helps organizations prepare for unexpected disruptions, like system failures, natural disasters, or cyberattacks, and continue operations. It provides a structured approach to identify risks, create response plans, and recover quickly. What I found interesting is that it’s not just about reacting but also about prevention. Many companies are adopting it now because business interruptions can be costly. It’s more about being prepared than being reactive.
