Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi is a Scheme especially for farmers by Central Sector with 100% funding from Government of India. This scheme starts with 1.12.2018. According to this scheme, all the families of the farmers will get Rs 6000/- every year in three simple instalments of 2000/- rs. In each every 4 months. The requirement of the family for the Scheme is husband, wife and minor children. The complete responsibility of identification of farmer families who get this beneficial scheme rests with the State / UT Governments. The fund would be directly transferred to the beneficiaries bank account.

The Farmers who covered under the Exclusion Criteria of the Operational Guidelines will not be eligible for the benefit of the Scheme. To enrol himself in this scheme the farmer is required to approach the local patwari/revenue officer / Nodal Officer (PM-Kisan) who is nominated by the State Government.
The Common Service Centres (CSCs) has been authorized for the registration of the farmers for the Scheme upon payment of fees. Farmers can also do their self-registration by login into the Farmers Corner in the website. Farmers can update their names also in PM-Kisan database as per their Aadhaar database/card through the “Farmers Corner” in the portal. Farmers can also know their payment status through the Farmers Corner portal. This is very easy and very helpful for farmers.
