Id works on the basis of pleasure principle means it wants instant fulfillment of it needs regarless of consequencess.The Superego works on morality principle which reminds it to the moral values and norms. The ego works on the reality principle and act as a balance between the id superego. It helps in fulfilling the id's need in socially accepted ways to keep moral value of super ego intact.
