The current debate was around Vande Mataram's stanzas, and whether it should be sung around publicly. School of people objects that the later stanzas have religious imagery and that is why it should not be sung along the previous stanzas which majorly emphasise on historical and patriotic schemes. Speaking of constitutional acceptance and cultural inclusiveness, the courts uphold the singing of the first two stanzas of Vande Mataram.
