Globally, 6G is currently in the research phase, and standardisation is going on. Testing on terahertz frequencies and ultra-low latency systems is underway in countries such as China, the US, South Korea, and Japan. Commercial deployment is tentatively expected to be around 2030. With 6G, the focus on holographic communication and advanced IoT integration for smart cities will increase.
