The terms ISO certification and ISO accreditation are related but not the same, and understanding the difference is important.

ISO certification is given to businesses or organizations. It shows that a company is following specific ISO standards like quality management, environmental management, or safety practices. For example, when a company gets ISO 9001 certification, it proves that their processes meet international quality standards. Many businesses take support from iso certification agencies in india to complete the process smoothly, including documentation, implementation, and audits.

ISO accreditation, however, is given to the bodies that provide certification. These certification bodies are evaluated by an accreditation authority to ensure they are qualified and trustworthy to issue ISO certificates. In India, NABCB is a well-known accreditation body. Accreditation adds credibility, meaning the certificate issued is valid and globally accepted.

So, ISO certification applies to companies that want to follow standards, while ISO accreditation applies to certification bodies that are authorized to audit and certify those companies.

Many people confuse ISO certification and ISO accreditation, but they are quite different. ISO certification is given to companies or organizations that meet specific international standards, showing their processes and systems follow quality guidelines. For example, a company may get ISO 9001 certification for quality management.

On the other hand, ISO accreditation is given to certification bodies, not companies. It means that the organization issuing the certificate is officially recognized and competent to do so.

In simple terms, businesses receive ISO certification, while certification bodies receive ISO accreditation, ensuring trust, credibility, and proper compliance with international standards.
