OnePlus has never offered a flagship device for $0 but have always sold their devices at cost and made money on accessories. This strategy has been successful, as the company is now one of the fastest growing in the industry. The OnePlus 6T was announced on October 30th, 2018 and started at a price of $549 USD. The 6T was available in two variants: 6GB RAM/ 128GB internal storage and 8GB RAM/128GB internal storage. The phone was available in three colour variants: Midnight Black, Mirror Grey and Silk White.
OnePlus was one of the first OEMs to implement this strategy as well as being one of the most successful when it comes to gaining profit from non-device sales. It was not until after their third device that the company implemented this strategy.
