Skin colour is just a “racial” characteristic - and we should remember that even though there are racial differences in people, skin colour is not really that “significant” a racial characteristic. For example, our chimpanzee cousins are born “light skinned” and age to “dark skinned”, whereas our bonobo cousins are born “dark skinned” and age to “dark skinned”
