Studies have discovered several ways by which we can minimize the plateau in learning. Some easily performed ones are:
1) Physical health and Rest – In order to increase dynamics of a child, his physical health is of vital importance. He should bear proper rest in case of physical fatigue.
2) Continuity in interest, attention, and motivation – It has been seen that on maintaining interest in the subject or activity to be taught, keeping their attention focused on it and to inculcate continuous motivation in them.
3) Use of appropriate Teaching method – A teacher should keep in mind the extent of knowledge of students, they should be taught what they are capable of on their basis of their previous knowledge. By this state of plateau can be lessened.
4) Difficulty Level of teaching-learning materials or activity – Whatever is been taught to children, its difficulty depends according to the intelligence level of the student. It should be in sequence from simple to complex. It can really help to reduce the plateaus which pop up in learning.
We have to keep in mind that plateau in learning can only be minimized and not be completely removed.
