FIFA world cup is the world's number one sport extravaganza and viewed by most number of people in all the continents f the world. June 15th 2018 FIFA world cup started in Moscow. Only 6 days are gone. But the FIFA 2018 grabbed the attention because of the surprises , upsets and happiness it provided from the games. Let us briefly see the best moments and excitements of FIFA world cup 2018.
1. Russia's win over Saudi Arabia - On the opening day and first match itself football fans in Russia experienced a wonderful moment in their life. The host Russia who was in the last spot in their group, took the first spot after thrashing Saudi Arabia in their opening match. Russia beat Saudi Arabia by 5-0 .
2. Iceland's dream come true moment - Iceland , first time participating in FIFA world cup draw the match with 2 times champion and 2014 finalists Argentina. Though the Argentina possessed the ball all the time, Iceland defended the game very well in spite of their maiden match. Sergio Aguero scored the first goal for Argentina in the 13th minute. But after 5 minutes Alfreo Finnbogason of Iceland scored Iceland's first ever goal in a world cup match. 5 times voted world's best player, Argentina's Lionell Messi missed to score a panalty add more masala to already exciting match.
3. Defending Champion Germany lose to Mexico - Defending champion Germany is one of the favorites of the World cup 2018. They were very confident to win against the inconsistent Mexico. But Mexico was playing it hard against Germany. Mexico's Hirving Lozano scored a goal at the 35th minute and it was counter attacking Germany after that. Germany could not score a single goal. It was the most upset moment in the FIFA world cup 2018 so far. The magnitude of celebrations by Mexico fans was compared with an earthquake.
4. Brazil could not win against Switzerland - Brazil consists of world's best players and football stars including the most expensive player of the club Neymar. When they play against Switzerland in the ongoing FIFA world cup, Brazil scored only one goal, that of Philippe Coutinho. Switzerland 's Steven Zuber equaled the score with his goal in the 5oth minute. After that nothing worth excitement happened in the match except Neymar's 10 foul play complained by Switzerland team.
5. Christiano Ronaldo's 51st Hat trick and Lionell Messi blows the penalty shoot. In a sensational win against Spain. Christiano Ronaldo of Argentina scored his 51st Hat trick in style and stroked his chin as he ran in celebration. As though he wanted to deliver the message to the world that he is the GOAT and not Lionel Messi. GOAT is the short form of 'Greatest Of All Time' and Adidas's advertisement shows real goat with Lionell Messi. Irony is in his last match Lionell Messi blew his penalty shoot.
