Dussehra will be celebrated onTuesday, October 24, 2023.Dussehra is celebrated as the victory of Lord Rama over Ravana.The name Dussehra comes from 2 Sanskrit words- Dasha and Hara which implies removal of 10 bad qualities within us It also celebrates the victory of Goddess Durga over the demon Mahishasura.Dussehra is Hindu celebrations celebrated in India,Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.The story behind Dussehra is Lord Rama cut the ten head of ‘Ravana’,because he had kidnapped Goddess Sita.Before fight with RavanaLord Rama decided to pray to Goddess Durga and seek her blessing in winning the battle.
