Someone should seek help when sadness, emptiness, or hopelessness lasts weeks, starts affecting sleep, work, relationships, or when daily life feels heavy all the time. If there are thoughts of self-harm, numbness, or feeling stuck with no way out, don’t wait. Getting help early can seriously change the direction of things.
