You should not place personal tidbits in an area of your resume that is appropriately labeled and narrowly tailored to reveal information beyond the scope of the specific question or requirement. For example, if you are asked to provide a list of hobbies, you should list those as well as any skills that may be relevant to the position. However, if you are not asked for this information and have included it, you will have given an employer more than just a physical description about yourself and it might give them pause for what type of applicant they are looking for.
