For beginners this question often comes in their mind what to choose between whey concentrate and whey isolate when they start working out and their bodies demand for protein. Both whey concentrate and whey isolate are good source of protein.

Whey concentrate

It is one of the most basic forms of protein that is easily available in the market. It doesn't cost that much on your pocket as compared to other expensive proteins. Whey concentrate is good for beginners and those looking to add protein to their diet. However, some people complained that they had a hard time digesting the concentrates and would end up feeling a little gassy and bloated. Whey concentrate can be used both pre and post workout and can also be used as a snack in between meals. This is not a preferred source of protein to be used at night.

Whey Isolates

Isolates are one of the quickest absorbing proteins. This protein is a bit expensive and it is perfect for those who are on low carb diets. Isolates are great pre and post workout as they are absorbed quickly and can supply the muscle the nutrients needed to help recover and grow. But it is not recommended for beginners unless you are a bodybuilder who is preparing for the competition because it is high content of protein per scoop, least number of carbs and fats that is not ideal for beginners.
