The shift from school to university life involves a lot of other shifts and changes which are obvious. It is one of the most important part of adulting and arguably the first major change that any child experiences in his/her lifestyle.
The first step towards being adult, and the first step out of the home –in the outside world, there is no way one can cope up with so much without changing the ways of living and going about stuff. As soon as you are out of the school, you are treated as an adult who is on his/her own, and someone who has to take responsibility for whatever good or bad he/she does. Amongst all this, if you don’t change yourself to cope up with the changing surroundings, you are going to be a failure in the long run.
As young adults start living their university life –finally living away from pampering parents and constantly dealing with obnoxious strangers, they start getting the hang of this new live and the change begins even before they realize it. It does not only involves the change in food habits, clothing, and so on. It also includes the change in principles, values, attitude, responsibilities, and the very way of existing.
At this age, the mind is quite open to every new idea and a lot of things tend to fascinate people. With the restrictions almost at bay, there is also a freedom to experience whatever good or bad comes their way, and the results teach them how to exercise such a freedom wisely in future.
After all, change is the only constant in this world, so better we change our lifestyle according to time and requirements before we become a misfit in the society.
