Chris Evans, after doing ten MCU movies, is finally going to retire as our beloved Captain America and in the words of our Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds, we are not crying, we are weeping!
We know Captain America as the First Avenger and the soldier who has fought Nazis, aliens, robots, and a lot of his inner inhibitions as an inevitable part of Marvel Comic Universe. Evans, who played both Captain America and his alter ego, Steve Rogers, has just packed off Avengers 4, and declared that this was his last MCU movie. He tweeted:
“Officially wrapped on Avengers 4. It was an emotional day to say the least. Playing this role over the last 8 years has been an honor. To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the audience, thank you for the memories! Eternally grateful.”
And the Twitter broke…
Well, the reason is the end of the contract, which, like many other actors playing main characters in Avengers, was only till Avengers 4.
If you ask me, I’m not even thinking of Avengers 4 now, all I’m thinking of is what would become of all the Marvel fans after Avengers 4! It’s not gonna be same without “the most noble Avenger”.
Chris Evans has literally been “to Captain America what Christopher Reeve was to Superman.”
