One reason that is assumed behind calling the sitcom “the show about nothing” is that it captures and puts into display the most trivial and not-so-important incidents related to Jerry Seinfeld and his acquaintances’ lives, in a fictionalized form. You can say that the incidents shown in the episode of Seinfeld are more or less like FRIENDS, except that the latter is completely fictionalized and dealt with the lives f six fictional friends.
The show is quite entertaining and was once regarded as one of the best sitcoms aired on American television.
