Seems like the ghost of Cambridge Analytica is still haunting Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg.

Back in April, Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, in an interview to CNBC openly criticized Facebook’s reluctant and ineffective data policies and regulations.
"We care about the user experience. And we're not going to traffic in your personal life," Tim Cook said in that Facebook, referencing Facebook and Cambridge Analytica. "I think it's an invasion of privacy," he added.
Reports suggest these statements from Apple CEO fumed Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg. And he reportedly asked all his employees in the management to ditch Apple phones and opt for Android.

As this report gained more traction recently, Facebook released a statement saying, “Tim Cook has consistently criticized our business model and Mark has been equally clear he disagrees. So there’s been no need to employ anyone else to do this for us. And we’ve long encouraged our employees and executives to use Android because it is the most popular operating system in the world.”
The statement, in a way, claims that Mark never directly asked the employees to opt for Android.
Interestingly, according to Android Police, a popular website, many of Facebook’s top executives continue to use iPhones.
Facebook has always been at the receiving end for its poor policy. And many people have criticized the company for this. Apple CEO Tim Cook is only one in the list. Reports suggest that the fallout between Facebook’s people and WhatsApp original founders were also due to former’s insensitive regulation for users’ data.
On the other hand, Apple is one of those few companies which is the poster child for stringent data protection law. It has always contented for stricter laws and regulations to protect people’s privacy. And this is quite evident in its own policies and way of functioning. At a time when many companies are openly employing information harvesting and highly targeted advertisement (including Google), Apple still remains a resistant force to this.
So, in a way, the battle between Facebook and Apple (or their founders/CEOs) seems quite fitting really.
After tussling with Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg is feuding with Tim Cook. Seems like too many bad bloods in the Silicon Valley.
