Tv is an audio/visual medium whereas Radio is just a medium through which we can hear but not see.
1. People generally prefer watching television because there one doesn't need to focus and imagine the situation as it is in the case of listening Radio.
2. There are a lot of unspoken words that could be understood just through body language and gestures which may not be possible over Radio.
